Since 1987, College Savings Bank had the primary mission of serving as a partner to industrious parents seeking a means to secure a higher education for their children. They do this by offering CD investment options and high-yield savings accounts. On December 1st, 2015, College Savings Bank was purchased by NexBank SSB. John Holt, president and CEO of NexBank Capital, Inc. maintained that the College Savings Bank will keep its name and branding, and that it was simply a good deal for the bank to continue its operations under the ownership of NexBank SSB.
NexBank Acquires College Savings Bank
It certainly seems that College Savings Bank made a smart move by partnering with NexBank. Major growth was seen not only in 2015 with NexBank reporting its record levels of income and assets, but for the three consecutive years prior. The acquisition of the College Savings Bank will serve to diversify NexBank’s deposits and further increase the growth of the company.
NexBank has been predicted to enjoy further growth. There’s little wonder why when taking a glance at their impressive profile for FY 2015: their capital ratios have well surpassed the minimum regulatory requirements, and the company’s income increased by $29.6 million dollars between fiscal years 2014 and 2015.
Banking and going into a bank has always been really hard for me because I have had some bad experience in banks throughout my life. These banks have done me wrong many times, but I found Nexbank when I moved to Dallas. I thought I would give them a try because they were local, and it was like I found a new family.
I have my favorite teller in the branch I go to, and he is always there when I come in to make a deposit. He helps me get things done that I cannot do by myself, and he shows me that I can get a lot of work done on my accounts in the bank instead of trying to fuss about it on the phone. It is nice to have someone that I can trust in the bank, and it makes all the banking I do a lot easier. I am feeling pretty good because I am using a bank that actually helps me.
I know that some people are going to not want to go to a local bank because they think they are not big enough, but I am telling you that I am so happy with this bank I would tell anyone to go there. I have not taken any loans out yet, but I know that my teller would help me get the loan going if he had to.
Using Nexbank was the first time I felt a lot better about the banking that I do, and I want to make sure that I do not feel like I am forced into anything. I get help at Nexbank that I need, and I love the way they make me feel. I am banking with a real person, and I am no longer afraid of sitting in the bank for a deposit.
